Before wearing for the first time, wash your new Scent Blocker Plus garment in cold water, either by hand or using the gentle cycle of your washing machine. Allow it to line dry. Use and approved detergent like Scent Blocker Laundry Detergent or Scent Shield Carbon Clothes Wash. When your garment has dried, reactivate the carbon by placing the garment in the dryer for 30 to 45 minutes. Use HIGH for non-waterproof items and LOW to MEDIUM for those that are waterproof. Store your garment in a Scent Blocker Plus Storage Bag or Duffle when not in use. After being reactivated, your garment will be ready for 20 to 40 hours of use, depending on the amount of odor to which it is exposed. Washing is only required when the outer shell is soiled with dirt, etc. For models with removable carbon liners, the liner may be removed and reactivated in the dryer without washing.
